Join Us in Recycling and Fundraising for a Worthy Cause!

This year, you can contribute to the Youth Futures Education Fund by recycling small electronics at the Summit!

Empowering Youth Through Education and Sustainability

For the 2025 CONNECT Tech Summit, BCNET is committed to supporting the Youth Futures Education Fund (YFEF) by increasing access to higher education and promoting sustainability by giving functional tech a second life while aiding a charitable cause. In partnership with Quantum Lifecyle Partners, we will convert the recycling of small electronics into funds for YFEF.

During the three-day Summit, all proceeds from recycling donations will go directly to YFEF. By participating, you are promoting sustainability and helping young adults access higher education. Join us in making a difference and supporting a brighter future for our youth!

  • About Youth Future's Education Fund

The Youth Futures Education Fund helps create equal educational opportunities for young adults who have been in government care. At the age of 19, youth in care “age out” of the foster care system and subsequently lose all support from their foster families, social workers, and government programs. Although they are eligible for a tuition waiver, the loss of this assistance makes pursing post-secondary education much more challenging.

We are Making a Difference through the Youth Futures Education Fund.

When more people have access to higher education, the entire community benefits. That's why we are committed to supporting youth education, helping those in need and making a difference in the sector in which we serve. Post-secondary education not only helps a young person realize their potential, but also helps establish a network of friends, colleagues, and mentors. All youth should have the same opportunities to pursue this reality. The Youth Futures Education Fund recognizes this and is here as a support to youth aging out of care. Since 2021, BCNET has raised over $56,450 to support the Youth Futures Education Fund.
