DATA-SAFE is a fully managed, low-cost, secondary, data backup storage and retrieval service designed for higher education and research institutions. The service securely safeguards public-sector data inside British Columbia in compliance with BC's Freedom of Information & Privacy Act. Users can backup and store their critical data at the shared, dedicated, high-capacity storage facility.
What You Will Get
The DATA-SAFE infrastructure as a service allows you to leverage our existing storage equipment, hardware and the Research and Education Network to transmit and store secondary data. We provide fully managed service support including help desk and trouble calls. Institutions can backup and store critical data at our safe and secure shared, dedicated high-capacity storage facility within British Columbia that is located outside of the earthquake zone.
