The Ministry of Education has been working on a modernization project for its current BC high school transcript system. As part of this project, there is the opportunity to provide the BC high school transcript using XML delivery to BC post-secondary institutions via EducationPlannerBC Transcript Services. A small, cross-provincial group composed of members from BC post-secondary institutions, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Advanced Education and EducationPlannerBC Transcript Services have been working on the technical and business requirements for receiving the XML High School Transcript. We’d like to share our experiences on the XML High School Transcript project to date, what this new receiving method means in terms of changes and opportunities at our institutions and for students, and our upcoming project plans and timelines.
