We will discuss taking Mattermost, an open-source team chat tool, from a small pilot to a production technology available at Enterprise scale at UBC. Parts of this presentation will cover the following: A brief background about the project, the process involved in the selection of a tool to pilot, the implementation and evaluation of Mattermost, and the road ahead as we actively scale up use of Mattermost to more courses and Faculties at UBC.
