In April 2017, BCIT will open a new computer technology program education hub at its downtown campus in Vancouver. The hub will draw together the latest in cutting-edge collaboration space design, IT infrastructure, and learning and teaching innovation that reflects the needs of today’s students. This new learning experience is tailored towards career-ready skills development for success in BC’s fast-growing and talent-hungry tech sector.
This presentation will focus on the design process that enabled a complex project to emerge collaboratively, leveraging insight from students, grads, industry representatives, and specialists within BCIT. It will also highlight the strategic projects that are enabling this major campus expansion, including BCIT’s IT infrastructure evolution, and the Learning and Teaching Framework.
