Oracle databases are a central component to many enterprise applications commonly used within the BC higher education sector. Oracle databases contain rich functionality for security, reliability, scalability and availability, however there are also challenges in leveraging some of these features for a variety of reasons, not the least of which are complex licensing and virtualization considerations. This thought-provoking panel discussion includes a number of institutions who have wrestled with and overcome some of these challenges, and who would like to share their questions, answers, and discoveries with the BCNET community.
