Through advisory committees, BCNET gains expertise, ideas and input from a wide circle of stakeholders. The advisory committees are made up of BCNET members who have an interest in developing advanced networks and their applications. The goal of the committee members is to deliver advice and guidance to the Board and Executive on implementing new network technologies and their applications.

Currently, BCNET's Advisory Committees advise the BCNET Board and President on applications, network planning and services for research and education.
