Get the eduroam connection before the BCNET/CANARIE 2010 Conference BCNET has brought eduroam to British Columbia, the first province in Canada to have access to eduroam. What is eduroam? eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions by simply using their home credentials. Why use eduroam? eduroam simplifies your wireless access when visiting another campus. Once you configure your laptop, you will automatically access wireless networks at any of the participating institutes. There is no need to obtain a wireless guest account. Which higher education institutes are participating in British Columbia? There are 23 Canadian institutions connected to eduroam, including seven in B.C.
